CHASP: Center for Health and Social Policy
CHASP is a multidisciplinary research center in the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. CHASP was created with generous support from the Sid Richardson Chair in Public Affairs to conduct research, to educate students and practitioners to become future leaders, and to provide a forum for today's foremost policymakers and scholars to debate pressing issues in American health and social policy.
CHPR: Center for Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Research in Underserved Populations
This Center is funded for five years by the National Institute of Nursing Research/National Institutes of Health to promote health promotion and disease prevention research endeavors in underserved populations. This Center thus addresses a major goal of Healthy People 2010: to reduce disparities in health.
CWGS: Center for Women’s and Gender Studies
The Center for Women’s and Gender Studies is a unique interdisciplinary program that offers courses, degrees and organized events each year. The focus of the program is on understanding women’s experiences from a variety of perspectives as well as the role that gender plays in shaping society.
IGERT: Indoor Environmental Science and Engineering
This National Science Foundation-funded IGERT effort is a unique and interdisciplinary graduate program aimed at both fundamental and applied research to better understand and improve indoor environmental quality.
